Inkjet Drying
In 1997 adphos was approached by Scitex Digital Printing (Now Kodak) with an inkjet drying application running at 1,000 fpm (300 mpm) on a temperature sensitive thermal paper. The unique properties of adphosNIR® allowed for the drying of the inkjet ink without heating, thereby activating, the thermal paper.
It was soon discovered that adphosNIR® technology, with its high energy densities, compact modular design and reduced energy requirements compared to other ink drying solutions, was ideal for most all aqueous based inkjet drying applications.
