Modular Back Reflector

The MBR has been developed as reflector especially for range of adphosNIR® modules and for integration into coating lines (e.g. presses). When using just single modules in a coating line such as the NIRxx family, this reflector provides the possibility to create an almost closed process chamber which leads to an increase in overall efficiency.

Product Description

The MBR is built as a modular system and is available in 5 different widths, from 400 mm up to 1,200 mm, hence it is suitable for the most common web dimensions. By means of the integrated the reflector and pushed back outside. Due to the compact overall dimensions, with a height of less than 100 mm, the reflector can easily be integrated in any web path. Since the MBR is designed especially for the NIRxx family, it can be linked into the safety circuit of the NIRxx.

While using special materials for the reflective components, most of the energy generated from the drying module is brought back to the substrate and hence the efficiency of the entire system can be significantly increased.

Applications

The MBR is applicable for presses, gluing systems, coating systems, etc., where only single modules are used and creating a closed process chamber will increase the system efficiency and protect the system components from scattering light.

Features

When there is excessive contamination on the MBR, the highly reflective metal sheets can be easily replaced without any special tools. This minor maintenance input leads to keeping the systems efficiency at a high level.

The MBR can be fixed to the press through clearly defined mechanical interfaces. In addition, the MBR is equipped with a temperature switch, that provides, in case of an over temperature, a corresponding signal for the NIRxx family, which switches off the NIRxx automatically and any potential damage can be prevented. The power supply of the fan is by means of an IEC-60320-C20 plug.
