Description:
The NIR-Lab was developed for
• Manufactures of lacquer and raw materials,
• R & D-Laboratories,

which have the need to adapt their products to the NIR-technology or need a NIR-radiation source for the develpment.
Performance data for NIR-Lab (Basic system)
• Test samples or flat samples with dimensions of max. 100 mm x 230 mm.
• Active area: NIR-Emitter 250 mm x 120 mm.
• NIR-Emission: 200 kW/m2, 400 kW/m² or 800 kW/m² (depending on the used emitter type).
• Distance variation between NIR-module and sample up to 300 mm.
• Integrated contact-free temperature measurement during NIR-treatment.
• Continuous adjustable temperature profiles with power control or closed loop temperature control, digital controller with numerical display.
• Adjustable IR-wavelength emission from near infrared to long wave IR.
System Configuration:
The NIR-Lab system consists of a 1 high performance heater module of 250 mm x 120 mm with six normal burn (200 kW/m²), high burn (400 kW/m²) or super burn NIR-Emitters (800 kW/m²). The test samples can be positioned under a variable distance to the heater module for the NIR-treatment. A special glass containment shields the NIR-module from impurities. The complete aluminium module body is water cooled.
The focussed, NIR-Emission allows a defined, very short and smooth drying or melting and curing treatment of coatings. With the given arrangement of the NIR-Emitters and the reflector systems, a homogenous, efficient and very economical drying/curing treatment of areas on temperature sensitive substrates can be ensured. The contactless temperature measurement allows a controlled and reproducible processing.
The electrical power supply of the NIR-Lab system as well as the separated operator panel with the control and monitoring unit are made according to the VDE regulations.
The complete system is inherent safety controlled. System errors, status conditions and the process data are monitored. The NIR-Lab system is ready for operation within seconds, as well as can be shut off within seconds. The NIR-Lab is CE approved.
